How the numbers are made

Full methodology →

Every specification is extracted from the manufacturer’s own product page, stored with a verbatim quote from that page, and programmatically re-checked: if a stored quote cannot be found in the source, the value is discarded. Values that fail a physical plausibility test are discarded too — a weight implying more than 70 watt-hours per pound belongs to a different product on the same page, which is a real failure mode we hit and now detect.

We do not estimate missing specs, we do not copy numbers from other review sites, and we do not invent user reviews. The dataset holds 76 models and 840 individually verified spec values, averaging 11.1 per model out of 19 fields we attempt to track.
