Brand Transparency: What Each Maker Discloses
Updated
What “reputation” means on this site
We publish owner ratings and quotations collected from manufacturers’ own product pages — attributed and verbatim — and we refuse to invent sentiment. That half of reputation is covered in How to Read Owner Reviews.
The other half is checkable: how much a brand is willing to tell you. A manufacturer that publishes cycle life, chemistry, solar input ceiling and warranty length is easier to hold to account than one that publishes a capacity figure and a photograph.
Everything in the tables below is computed from the same evidence-backed dataset used elsewhere on WattPicks. Each figure is a count of facts the brand itself published — only the reading of those figures is editorial judgment, and it is labeled as such.
Specification disclosure by brand
Across 221 models. “Fields published” is the average number of the 19 canonical fields a brand states per model, so a higher number means more of its line-up is genuinely comparable.
“Median warranty” only averages brands that state a warranty at all; the “Warranty stated” column shows how many models actually do. DJI’s price column can read 0% when its storefront blocks our collector, not because it hides prices on the page you visit.

Reading the numbers
These one-line readings are editorial judgment built on the disclosure counts above — not a lab score and not a recommendation to buy or avoid a brand.
| Brand | Our reading (editorial judgment, not a measurement) |
|---|---|
| AFERIY | Publishes 100% of the fields we track — one of the more forthcoming brands, which makes its models easy to compare fairly. |

Where to find actual user sentiment
If you want other buyers’ opinions — and you should, alongside the specs — the manufacturer’s own product pages are where verified-purchase reviews live. We link storefronts below and publish attributed quotations on model cards and in How to Read Owner Reviews.
When reading reviews anywhere, weight the specific over the general: a reviewer describing how a unit behaved running a fridge through a two-day outage is worth more than a star rating, and a rating from someone who bought the wrong capacity band tells you about their research, not the product.

What the disclosure numbers are not
Read Methodology for how specs are collected and verified, and How to Read Owner Reviews for the rules we keep when quoting vendor-collected sentiment.
- Not a quality ranking. Disclosure measures how checkable a claim is, not how good the product is.
- Not adjusted for range size. A brand with three models can look tidier than one with seventeen, because every model counts equally.
- Not a measure of support. Whether a warranty is honored is not knowable from a specification page.
- Not static. These figures move as brands update listings and as we add models to the dataset.
Frequently asked
Is disclosure the same as product quality?
No. A brand can publish everything and still make a poor product; a brand can publish little and make an excellent one. Disclosure measures how checkable a claim is.
Method and sources
Model names and list prices come from the WattPicks catalog at build time. WattPicks does not run its own laboratory tests on power stations, and nothing on this page is presented as a measured result — it is catalog-backed buying guidance.
Read our methodology for how the catalog is normalized, and about WattPicks for who publishes it.
