Portable power stations ranked by expandable capacity
How far each power station can grow with add-on batteries, as a multiple of the capacity you buy on day one. The spec that prevents replacing the whole unit later.
Expandability is the difference between a purchase and a platform. A unit that accepts extra batteries can grow with a van build or a household, while a sealed one has to be replaced entirely.
This ranking sorts by maximum expandable capacity, and shows the multiple of the base unit so a small station with big expansion is not hidden behind a large station with none.

Expansion batteries are a separate purchase, often priced at a meaningful fraction of the unit. Not every expandable model accepts every battery in its own brand family.
