Jackery
The mainstream first-time buyer who wants one simple box
Brands
A brand is not better or worse in the abstract. Jackery optimises for the buyer who wants no learning curve; BLUETTI for the buyer who wants the most watts per dollar; EcoFlow for the buyer who wants a system to grow into. The useful question is which of those buyers you are.
Each profile answers the same six questions in the same order, so they can be read side by side. 7 of 12 brands have models in the current dataset.
The mainstream first-time buyer who wants one simple box
The tech-forward buyer who reads the spec sheet and wants room to grow
The value-and-power buyer who does not mind a heavy box
The existing Anker customer upgrading from power banks and chargers
The outdoor retailer shopper who wants a system they can see in person
DJI creators who want one battery system for gear and camp
The price-first buyer comparing watt-hours on a marketplace listing
The budget camper who wants a station and a panel in one order
The car owner who wants roadside rescue and backup power in one box
The overlander building a vehicle system around a fridge
The DIY off-grid builder who arrives for solar, not for a camping box
The informed value buyer who wants LiFePO4 and a big inverter for less
A brand profile cannot tell you which unit to buy — for that, use the full specification table or a dimension ranking. What a profile does is stop you buying the wrong kind of product: a sealed unit when you needed an expandable one, or a 60 lb box when you needed something you can carry.
The trade-offs section on each page is the part worth reading twice. Every brand here makes a reasonable product for somebody; the failures happen when a buyer picks a brand optimised for a different buyer than themselves.
Positioning statements are our editorial analysis, written from each vendor’s own marketing, published specifications and the shape of its line-up. They are not vendor claims, and we do not attribute them to any person. Measured specifications live in the dataset and carry a vendor quote each — see the methodology.
